Let me go first:

I currently work in the downstream oil and gas industry, and I have been practising as a safety professional for the past 16 years.

I am here on this forum because I feel there is a need for a space for HSE professionals to share knowledge and information, without the distractions that are filling up LinkedIn these days. I still remember the early days of LinkedIn, when it was so easy to get solid HSE guidance from industry veterans. While this is not to be taken without verification, it served as a guiding light for me when I started my HSE career.
